For touring teams looking for a match at Winchcombe CC or to arrange a match of your own using our ground please contact our Fixture Secretary Darren Peck via Club email winchcombecricketclub@gmail.

We have a fully licensed bar and can put on teas or a barbecue or arrange catering of your choice.

We regret that Saturdays during the cricket season are not available due to league matches.

The old picture here shows a some of our current players from quite a few years ago - just an old picture, but it tells something.

These players were all juniors/young playersat Winchcombe CC and remain friends and players today.

It's not just about the cricket - lifelong friendship, team cameraderie, friends who will help you out along the way because you are part of something together, a laugh in the sun with a cold beer - the odd argument adds to the mix - some drift away for a few years when wine, women and work attract, but most drift back, hopefully bringing their own children to keep the Club going!

Sign your juniors up, we might not be the biggest, richest and most successful Club in the area - but be part of something special!

it is important, and beholden on the Club, to ensure that all members know where to find information relating to Winchcombe Club and how it is run.

Please take time to read and understand and if you have any questions please contact our Secretary via winchcombecricketclub@gmail.

Should you wish to review any information relating to Winchcombe Cricket Club, its policies, codes of conduct, etc.

In addition there is a green file on the table in front of the notice board with all Club documentation, including all policies, statements, development plans, fixtures and lists of Club officers as well as important information regarding what to do in a medical emergency at the Club.

IN THE EVENT OF A MEDICAL INCIDENT THERE ARE NOTICES THROUGHOUT THE CLUB, ADVISING OF TELEPHONE NUMBERS AND INCIDENT/ACCIDENT PROCEDURE.

Please take the time to take note of these.

Dipak Basu

Dipak first came to Winchcombe as a young man to work at the mill and quickly became part of the fabric of the community, playing for very many years in the cricket club as player and then Captain and later Chairman.

As President he came up to all adult home matches and junior ones – last season the young first team were having a bit of a party after the game with music etc.

Although over 80 Dipak recognises that the game has changed, he understands the needs to engage with younger people and let them do things a bit differently.

He has almost magical powers of persuasion which can make you agree to do something without even realising you have agreed, but it is always done with a twinkle of an eye and the offer of a drink.

He helps the Committee by being referee, umpire and counsellor when things get tricky, as they often do.

We cannot really put into words how much everyone in the Club loves this man and we were delighted to put him forward for an OSCA (Outstanding Service to Cricket Award) which he deservedly won.

It's all about the teas ................

The cricket is important, but we all know it's all about the teas!

We are proud that at Winchcombe CC we have a long standing reputation as a great place for a cricket tea!

It's not too time consuming, a quick whizz around Tescos, a little bit of preparation and setting it out and then a few proseccos afterwards watching the game and having a chat, not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
