At last it looks like we can get going at our wonderful cricket club, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming all our juniors and All Stars/Dynamos on Friday 10 May 2024when sessions are due to begin at 6.30 p.m.
When you arrive we would be grateful if you could park at the bottom field, immediately on the right facing the pillbox. There is limited parking at the Club itself due to the covers etc. and it is safer with so many children on site that this area is kept free of vehicles as far as possible, hence the use of the bottom field. Our landlord, Mr Cheetham, asks that vehicles are not parked on any of the grass verges where he has mowed.
Once parked come on up to the Club and sign your child in with the coach for the relevant age group- the bar will be open and hot food will be available from both the kitchen and the barbecue. Payments can be made using debit and most credit cards.
The wicket and square have been prepared for the first league match and will be roped off, and we would respectfully request that participants avoid walking over this area as much as possible since the ground is still soft. Children do not need to wear cricket whites (unless they want to) , but proper trainers should be worn rather than regular shoes.
